Jute Ribbed Silver is a chunky nubby jute in a soft greige, with undyed flecks running through the surface. It is the paler and quieter of the two ribbed jutes & cooler than the gold option. The colour is, however, warmer in the hand than the name suggests, which makes it easier to sit beside cool paint and pale timber. It has the soft, generous texture jute is known for, and is noticeably softer underfoot than sisal. Best suited to bedrooms and living rooms rather than heavy-traffic passages. Fitted wall to wall. Sisal, seagrass, jute and wool are natural fibres, and the yarn is not uniform the way a synthetic yarn is. Striations in the colour, irregularities in the weave and joining knots (particularly in jute) are inherent characteristics of these products, not manufacturing faults. The carpet is also woven under tension and cut along the warp or weft, so it will not be perfectly straight.
