Sisal Grey Beard is a deep greyed olive, the darkest natural fibre in the range and the most forgiving in a house that sees real traffic. The colour is muted rather than flat: there is both brown and green in it, which stops it reading as a plain dark carpet and lets it sit comfortably with timber, leather and stone.

Sisal, seagrass, jute and wool are natural fibres, and the yarn is not uniform the way a synthetic yarn is. Striations in the colour, irregularities in the weave and joining knots (particularly in jute) are inherent characteristics of these products, not manufacturing faults. The carpet is also woven under tension and cut along the warp or weft, so it will not be perfectly straight.
