Carbine is a light-to-mid greige with noticeably more visible graining than Baltic — the same broad family of colour, but with more texture and movement across a laid floor. The undertone is fractionally warmer, which softens it.
That extra grain is worth thinking about. A floor with visible character disguises everyday wear and marks better than a flat one, and it gives a large room something to hold the eye. In a small room it can feel busier, so it rewards a look at a full-size sample rather than a swatch.
It sits well with white and grey walls, mid-tone timber, and both black and brushed metal fittings.
