Ashen Oak is the palest laminate in the range — a cool grey-white with a whitewashed character and very subtle graining. It's about as light as a floor gets before it stops reading as timber at all.
Floors this pale have one obvious strength: they make a room feel bigger and brighter than it is, which is why they suit small flats, dark rooms and anywhere the light is limited. The 4V painted bevel helps considerably here, giving each board a defined edge so the floor keeps its plank character rather than flattening into a single pale expanse.
It suits white and pale grey walls, cool-toned textiles and light or painted furniture. It will show grit and dark scuffs more than a mid tone, so a doormat earns its place.
7mm boards rated AC3, 15 years residential.
